Khaleej Al Arabi Junction Upgrade Completed
Our video on the Khaleej Al Arabi Junction upgrade (contract A-014) shows the completed works: a three-lane bridge on Khaleej Al Arabi Street and a two-lane ramp linking Shakhbout Bin Sultan Street to Khaleej Al Arabi Street.
The contract for the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) covered bridges, surface roads and all associated utilities. The project team reached 3 million man-hours without a lost-time injury, a milestone recognised by AECOM in January 2025.
The project was later named National Winner, Road Project of the Year, at the MEED Projects Awards 2025.
